Dog Park
While some campgrounds shut down during winter, Spacious Skies Campgrounds keeps five of its RV sites and 12 cabins open throughout the season. The company also maintains a fully-stocked camp store and parkwide WiFi.
The campground is located between Nashville and Knoxville, with hiking trails and waterfalls nearby. Its 500 acres include ridge views, and there are also campsites with private pools and creeks.
The only problem I had at this campground was an overly aggressive & unsupervised Camp Host/Worker and her obnoxious group of kids & pets that were free to run amuck all over the campsite area & all other areas of the park with no regard to other paying guests & their children or animals! I witnessed them throw rocks through awnings & windshields on multiple occasions & other various obnoxious activities.
Hiking Trails
Campers can take a hike on the campground’s 500+ acres which include nature trails that lead to enchanting waterfalls and caves as well as a natural spring-fed swimming hole and tucked-away fishing pond. They can also explore nearby state parks and Civil War sites.
